`DESANKA MAKSIMOVIC` ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ALLOCATED DEPARTMENT RENOVATED 

Elementary school `Desanka Maksimovic` - Čokot, its department allocated in Mramor, with the joint action of the Republic, the City of Nis and Palilula Municipality, got a superstructure of one floor, modern equipped classrooms, and toilets. Thanks to this investment, worth about twenty million, the renovated school in Mramor, from September this year, will be able to attend pupils from fifth to eighth grade, therefore, these children will avoid travel to the main school in ČOKOT - said Miljan Bojanic, Acting Principal.

The opening ceremony of the new school facilities was attended by the Mayor of Nis, PhD. Zoran Perisic, president of Palilula Municipality, Boban Džunić with their associates.

New classrooms of allocated school building of Elementary School "Desanka Maksimovic` in Mramor are now opened for 32 children and from this autumn a number of pupils will significantly increase with the fifth grade pupils who live in Mramor, Mramorski Potok, Lalinske Pojate and Cokot. In this way, according to the school acting principal, will be significantly relieved the work of the main school in Čokot.

According to Boban Džunić words in addition to modern classrooms, new toilets, with the efforts of Palilula Municipality was also paved `Vera Katic` street, next to the school building and streets with canals for drainage of water was also adapted. These activities are realized in the cooperation with the Council of citizens and support of socially responsible companies.

The City will work to ensure that other children can be provided adequate conditions for learning and teaching-emphasized on this occasion, the mayor of Nis, PhD Zoran Perisic. For the reconstruction of the city schools this year, will be allocated tens of millions of dinars. In Palilula Municipality, one of the largest urban municipalities of Nis, residents will get adapted and reconstructed roads and other support in the completion of the infrastructure projects initiated.
